With over 14 entertainment area’s the Pride Park festival really has something for everyone.
Take a joyous wonder around Preston Park on Saturday 6th August and our truly magnificent and diverse community will dazzle you as we celebrate our community in a sensational Carnival of Diversity at the UK’s biggest Pride park festival.
The Brighton Pride Community Village and Marketplace returns filled with everything the LGBT+ Pride stylish shopper could want to satisfy their retail needs whilst our charities , groups and organisations will be at Preston Park highlighting the amazing work they do, ensuring the connection is made as they inform, reach out and support.
The Family Diversity Area returns for another year of Rainbow family fun, destined to keep the kids tickled pink all day with even more arts and crafts, dancing, games and live entertainment in a alcohol free zone, whilst the Pride Trans Area is back ensuring a celebratory, welcoming space sparkling with entertainment for and by Brighton & Hove’s wonderful Trans community.
2016 will see Pride once more working in partnership with The Brighton and Hove LGBT Community Safety Forum (LGBT CSF) to facilitate access to Preston Park for those with mobility issues including BSL interpreters, Access Tent, accessible portable toilets, a High Dependency Unit and with all Park stewards briefed on the LGBT CSF procedure for assisting disabled, elderly, deaf and hearing-impaired people.
The much-loved Sheila McWattie Women’s Performance Tent is set to shine once again and promises to deliver a line-up brimming with the best talent from the women’s music, comedy and cabaret scene.
And the infamous Legends Cabaret big top returns with a dazzling array of sequined brilliance hosted by the ever fantabulosa Lola Lasagne as the cream of the UK’s cabaret scene line up for a day of outrageously bona entertainment.
Add the bright lights of the Festival Main Stage glittering with world class acts, performers and campaigners including Carly Rae Jepsen, DJ Fresh, Fleur East, The 2Bears and the amazing dance tents featuring the finest of club land including Brut, Urban World, the aussieBum Wild Fruit Big Top, The Girls Dance Tent and Brighton Bear Weekend and the jubilant grooves will keep you dancing with Pride all day long.
