Maybe she’s born with it, maybe she’s… The latest act to be added to the bill for Brighton & Hove Pride, set to take part in Preston Park on Saturday 4th August, is the ‘Finders Keepers’ singer Mabel

Since releasing her debut single ‘Know Me Better’ in 2015, 22-year-old Swedish-Brit singer Mabel has been turning out some of the smoothest r&b tunes currently being made on this side of the Atlantic. Last year saw her release her debut EP ‘Bedroom’, a mixtape ‘Ivy to Roses’ and score her first top ten hit with ‘Finders Keepers’, which features Kojo Funds and reached number eight in the charts. She started this year with a bang too, dropping two more stellar tracks – ‘Fine Line’ and ‘Cigarette’ – before embarking on tour with Harry Styles.

Packing a punch with her own special brand of self-confident cool – part-street chick, part-lip gloss pop starlet – Mabel’s polished tunes and sassy style may run in the blood. Her mum is legendary singer and icon Neneh Cherry, while her dad produced for Massive Attack.

Having grown up around music royalty, Mabel’s future looks bright – the singer is set to play a string of festival dates this summer which may well fire her into the pop stratosphere. So make sure you’re there to see her when Mabel takes to the stage to play Brighton & Hove Pride 2018.
