Brighton & Hove Pride is a Pride to be proud of. Alongside the smiles, sunshine and good times, Brighton Pride’s sole ethos is to promote tolerance and diversity within our communities. Supporting our local charities and good causes is the cornerstone of our Pride – a ‘Pride with Purpose’
A community interest company is a business with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested in the business or in the community, rather than being driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners. The very nature of this CIC means that there are no dividends payable to directors or any board members.
Brighton Pride CIC is asset locked to The Brighton Rainbow Fund who facilitate the grant funding to local LGBTQ+ community groups and charities.
Since the insolvency of previous Brighton Pride organisations Pride hold a prudent reserves to deliver the annual Pride events,ring-fenced fundraising obligationsof Brighton Pride CIC and establish prudent reserves to ensure commitments to payments for contractors and suppliers as well as long term sustainability of Pride.
As a not-for-profit community interest company, all ticket revenue raised goes directly to the operational and running costs of producing the Pride Festival, LGBTQ+ Community Parade, Pride Village Party and community fundraising commitments.
The sole aim of the organisation is to provide benefit to the community and to trade with a “social purpose” rather than to make a private profit.
