Curated by Paul Diello from Fourth World Promotions
Ever since I was a child I loved making compilation tapes (showing my age there!!) and putting together eclectic mixes of music. This obsession continued into adulthood and so I began Fourth World Promotions in 2017 to bring my ideas for diverse variety events to the stage. I started a monthly LGBTQ+ variety show called El Geebee Tea Queue in Brighton and have gone on to become the booker for Ironworks Studios. It always excites me to put together a running order of diverse talents across all the performance art forms and there is just so much LGBTQ+ talent in Brighton and beyond that there are no shortage of performers to choose from!
As a queer artist myself who has been performing in venues across the UK and Europe for many years both as a solo artist and with a full band, it was a really exciting prospect to create a space in my hometown for alternative LGBTQ+ performers, both up and coming and well established to come together and celebrate our queerness and diversity through entertainment.
The acts that I’ve chosen for the Queer Town stage I feel represent the exciting and broad ranges of talent the LGBTQ+ Community has to offer in 2022. I’ve worked with them all and they are all bloomin’ marvellous, we really are in for a treat!
