IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING ROAD CLOSURES
ON SATURDAY 5 AUGUST FOR BRIGHTON & HOVE PRIDE

Brighton Pride is taking place on Saturday 5th August 2017 in Preston Park. The Saturday in the park is part of a much larger weekend of events across the city including the Pride Village Party and Pride Pleasure Gardens.

As part of our ongoing work with Sussex Police, SeacAmb, East Sussex Fire and Rescue and Brighton & Hove City Council for a citywide counter terrorism plan it has been agreed that Preston Road is closed to general vehicle access during the following times

SOUTHBOUND 10:00-00:00

NORTHBOUND 13:00 – 00:00

There will be no vehicle access at all to properties between 13:00-15:00 while the parade arrives.

After 15:00 if you require vehicle access to your property you will need to come northbound from Preston Circus and present ID to the security. This must show your name and address (a drivers license is best for this).

We are working closely with adult social care to enable them to maintain their scheduled visits as much as possible.

We have set-up an agreement between SeacAmb and St John Ambulance that any 999 Ambulance calls to properties on Preston Road will be responded to by the experienced St John Ambulance team that provide the medical cover at the park this may be a foot team or an ambulance depending on the nature of the call received.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and hope the measures we put in place will enable everyone to have a safe weekend.

If you have any questions of concerns please call the dedicated resident helpline number

Residents number – 01273 855 680

This line will be staffed between 09:00-17:00 Monday 31st July – Friday 4th August and 09:00am-23:00 on Saturday 5th August.

Thank you in anticipation of your co-operation and understanding.

With best wishes
