Zayn Phallic’s next generation style of drag has been taking the cabaret scene by storm since he began performing in 2017. Known for nudity and mess onstage and collaboration and community off it, he has been featured in national and international media such as Stylist Digital, Sky News and The Independent whilst earning residencies at Brighton’s premier drag King cabaret, Kingdom, and legendary queer cabaret night Bar Wotever.

As a producer, he is the creator and curator of the KOC (Kings of Colour) Initiative, a cabaret project that seeks to address the lack of diversity on the drag king scene and that has been instrumental in the rise of a new generation of kings of colour.

Described as “hilarious and necessary”, Zayn Phallic is the drag king with a heart (and a hard on) of gold.

The Queer TakeOver, presented by Calabash, The Marlborough Pub & Theatre, and Traumfrau, is part of the Brighton & Hove Pride Festival
Friday 3rd – Sunday 5th August 20218
