Brighton Pride is a Pride with purpose, a fundraising purpose.

Your celebrations with Pride really do make a difference to LGBT+ lives across the city. Lives that reply on organisations such as MindOut.

Helen Jones, director of MindOut said: “MindOut is run by and for LGBTQ people with lived experience of mental health issues. We work with over 400 people a year. We have an online out of hours instant chat service, an advice & information service, an advocacy service, peer support group work, peer mentoring and an allotment and food group. We run wellbeing workshops and courses, including self-esteem, sleep matters, mindfulness, change and resilience. We run themed groups, including our suicide prevention peer support group ‘Out of the Blue’. All of our services are free, independent, non-judgemental and confidential”.

Pride’s fundraising for The Rainbow Fund is vital to the organisation as it continues it work supporting our city’s LGBT+ community. “The Rainbow Fund has contributed funds for ‘Out of the Blue’ for 5 years,” said Helen, “and without Pride’s immense fundraising efforts we would not be able to offer this vital, life saving service. Thank you Pride!”
