Pride Parade 2017 – Entries Open

The Pride Community Parade 2017 ‘Carnival of Diversity – Summer of Love’ celebrates the landmark 50th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in England and Wales

The annual Brighton Pride Community Parade is the biggest and most exciting visual event in Brighton & Hove’s calendar bringing the whole community out on to the city’s streets as over 200,000 people participate and watch the spellbinding spectacular of our hugely successful ‘Carnival Of Diversity‘.
This year’s Summer Of Love Community Parade, supported by Gatwick Airport, will be the most spectacular UK Pride event of 2017, a festival like no other, a campaign to inspire, a party to remember and a fundraising weekend to be proud of.
Previous participants have included Brighton Pride’s partners and sponsors, American Express, Net Natives and One Family, local community groups, representatives from political parties and faith groups, the NHS, the blue light services – Police, Fire and Ambulance, the Girl Guides, Scouts, trade unions, as well as major corporate brands such as Virgin Holidays showing their support for diversity, and a sensational selection of dancers, performers, musicians and artists.
Over the past 4 years Pride has raised £310,000 for the Rainbow Fund and local good causes.

Notes to the Editor

Brighton and Hove Pride is the UK’s biggest Pride Festival operated by Brighton Pride CIC, a not for profit community interest company.

All tickets revenue raised goes directly to the operational and running costs of producing the Pride Festival, LGBT Community Parade, Pride Village Party and community fundraising for the Rainbow Fund and Pride Social Impact Fund.
Pride have raised over £310,000 for the Rainbow Fund and Pride Social Impact Fund in the last four years.
The Rainbow Fund has a remit to receive donations and to use them to give grants to LGBT and HIV groups and organisations in Brighton and Hove.
The Pride Social Impact Fund benefits local good causes giving grants to a range of local groups.
