For the past 2 years Brighton & Hove Pride have unable to hold our usual fundraising events, but have delivered an online digital Pride festival that raised over £13,000 as well as the Pride at the Ironworks season that has raised £10,400.

During the pandemic we have also been able to support over 100 LGBTQ artists and collectives with a year round cultural programme of smaller in-person events as well as supporting Trans Pride Brighton in delivering their 2021 online events from the Ironworks Studios, Allsorts with their youth Pride event and a number of other local community groups.

Paul Kemp, Director of Brighton Pride said, “The last two years have been extremely challenging for many of our LGBTQ community groups. Everyone has had to adapt to the challenges posed by the pandemic as well as rising costs.

“Although we are extremely proud to have raised these essential funds for the Brighton Rainbow Fund, we’re excited to bring back out main Pride fundraiser “We Are Fabuloso” on Preston Park in August and thank the thousands of people who have already purchased tickets.”

We Are Fabuloso, the UK’s biggest LGBTQ Pride event with community fundraising at its heart, is back as part of the Brighton & Hove Pride festival weekend, 5th-7th August 2022. Other events include the FREE Pride Community Day, Pride Dog Show, the 2 day Pride Village Party and the Pride LGBTQ+ Community Parade with its theme of ‘Love, Protest & Unity’.
