The parade starts at Hove lawns from 11am on Saturday 6th August 2016 .
The annual Pride community parade is one of the the biggest and most colourful and exciting visual events in the city’s calendar bringing the whole community out to Brighton & Hove’s streets with over 200,000 people participating and watching the spectacle in all its outrageous colour.
Brighton Pride will continue to celebrate with the hugely successful Carnival Of Diversity that perfectly reflects the diversity in our City.
Our 2016 campaigning theme is Uniting Nations, reflecting the UK’s favourite Pride festival’s on-going commitment to campaigning for global LGBT+ rights.
Pride Director says : “Pride has evolved over the years with more communities coming together to celebrate every aspect of our city, regardless of sexuality, race, gender, age or ability. It’s important not to go back to theme’s that trivialise the important message behind the Pride Celebration, but to continue to highlight the lives and struggles of LGBT+ people across the world as we strive for equality for all.”
Thousands of people watch the parade every year and it is the best ‘shop window’ for community groups, businesses or brands to get your message of support for Pride, equality and diversity.
The parade starts at Hove lawns from 11am on Saturday 6th August 2016 – see map.
