LoveBN1Fest is set for a singalong to remember on Sunday 5th August, with the news that the mighty Jess Glynne will treat the crowd to her anthem-filled set of big summer ballads.
Making her name with the sultry power-pop vocals to Clean Bandit’s 2014 Grammy Award winning anthem ‘Rather Be’, Glynn scored another number one earlier that same year on Route 94’s ‘My Love’. The following year, Jess topped the singles charts five times with the release of her debut album ‘I Cry When I Laugh’ – making her only the second ever British female solo artist to achieve this feat, after Cheryl. More recently, she teamed up with Tinie Tempah on last year’s chart smash ‘Not Letting Go’.
Glynne’s success is down to her unique ability to turn stories of heartbreak into big, bold crowd-pleasers – be they piano-backed ballads or synth-heavy house anthems. She has credits greats such as Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Mariah and Whitney as providing her inspiration.
“The reason the music seems to be finding an audience is because I found something different, which was always my intention,” Glynn said. “I found me. This is it. I couldn’t be prouder of it.”
