Are you ready for the UK’s most spectacular 2016 Pride Festival?  Brighton & Hove Pride 2016 is set to be an August scorcher, guaranteeing record breaking fundraising for local charities and community groups.

Brighton Pride 2016 will feature the UK’s biggest Pride Festival stage in a reconfigured Preston Park layout, and with more artists still to be confirmed over the weeks running up to Pride,  Pride’s 2016 Carnival Of Diversity is set to unite us in a festival of proud celebrations.

It is with great pleasure that Brighton Pride can announce that Carly Rae Jepsen, the star with over 1 billion YouTube views, No.1’s in over 47 countries with over 18 million copies sold, 2 Grammy nominations and a coveted AMA’s Best New Artist Award is coming to celebrate with us at the UK’s biggest and best Pride event.

A global superstar we always love to call, Carly Rae Jepsen is a chart-topping global sensation, delivering timeless pop tunes that demand our attention. Her addictive worldwide hit Call Me Maybe became the best selling global record of 2012 and set the glorious tone for a career that has seen her albums Tug Of War, Emotion and the platinum selling Kiss span nations, capture fans hearts and deliver a soundtrack of sunshine-fuelled feel good tunes across the world.

We can’t wait to lip-sync with the pop star’s favorite who’s enjoyed some infamous support from her very famous fans. Be it Katy Perry’s poolside love for Call Me Maybe, Justin Bieber’s lip-synched viral love with friends Kendall Jenner, Ariana Grande, Lance Bass and Vine star Matthew Espinosa or Tom Hank’s brilliant performance in the official video for I Really Like You, millions across the world have watched and joined Carly and friends to lip-sync for their lives.

Life at the top of the charts has become the norm for DJ Fresh a.k.a. Daniel Stein as collaborations with Diplo, Ellie Goulding, Sian, Rita Ora, Ella Eyre, Adam F and High Contrast & Dizzee Rascal ensure him multi-platinum status across the world. His genre defying style conjures a world fuelled with dubstep, house, d’n’b and future bass to create a sound unique to Fresh, supported by the likes of Annie Mac and Zane Lowe and over 130 million plays on his YouTube channel. Performing a live show at Brighton Pride, DJ Fresh will guarantee hands in the air this summer as his anthems make our Pride day.

Are you ready to play that Sax? Yes the X-Factor sensation and iTunes chart-topping pop star that is Fleur East is coming to Brighton Pride and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s time to taste a little Uptown Funk with the dancing queen of British pop. Promising to light up the Pride Festival main stage at Preston Park with her infectious and energetic performance, Fleur East is the perfect Pride special guest. Expect plenty of Love, Sax and Flashbacks as this North London lass celebrates a Carnival Of Diversity live with Pride, filled with passion and perfect pop.

When Mis-teeq hit our airwaves back in 2001 we instantly fell for Alesha Dixon, the girl from Welwyn Garden City we couldn’t get enough of – nobody brrrrrapped better than Alesha! Swapping her 2-step Fired Up solo career in 2009 for ballroom surprised us all but Alesha made the sparkling ballroom her home and soon became the nations sweetheart thanks to her sensational dancing on the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. 2012 Alesha saw become a judge on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent, bringing her expertise and love of dance to the UK’s biggest talent show. Fast-forward to 2015 and Alesha returned to the studio with her critically acclaimed solo album Do It For Love. A national dancing treasure whose swagger has ensured primetime is perfect, Alesha continues to rule our hearts, brrrrrapps and all.

Frankmusik is the sound of our synthpop future. Fresh, fierce and set to get Brighton Pride rocking this August, Frankmusik is ready to impress with his stunning electro disco sounds.

Described by The Guardian’s as delivering vocals that “proffer an aching humanity that the Little Boots and La Roux’s of this world would do well to learn from”, Frankmusik has been impressing critics and pop officiandos alike since he emerged onto the scene in 2007 with his amazing debut EP Frankisum.

His 2009 debut album Complete Me cemented his reputation as an artist to watch whilst his follow up album Do It In The AM showcased his amazing song writing abilities. Add his stellar work alongside artists including Erasure, Tinchy Stryder, Ellie Goulding and Ashley Roberts and the pop world has a synthpop playboy, producing the finest of moments.

Destined bring sunshine to our Brighton Pride festival in Preston Park this August, Imani is the pop princess we’ve all fallen for. The sweet star of Sigla’s 2016 No.1 iTunes smash hit Say You Do, a uplifting summer anthem fuelled with steel drums and drum’n’bass passion, sixteen year old Imani is a true pop star in the making and is already being compared to the likes of Rihanna and Ariana Grande.

Talented and heading Brighton Pride’s way, the half Bajan teenager started dancing at the age of eight and wrote her first song aged ten. Like Adele, Katy B, Imogen Heap and Jessie J, Imani is a Brit school star discovered age just fourteen when her singing teacher introduced her to Tileyard Music. Signed the moment they heard her unique vocals, Imani has spent the past two years honing her craft, song writing and working with world-class producers including dance music maestros and international platinum selling stars Sigala and DJ Fresh.

The moment he graced our screens in August 2015 we knew we were witnessing something very special. Captivating from the moment the first note left his lips, Seann Miley Moore became an overnight sensation wowing the nation as his X Factor debut in 2015 become the talking point of our weekend. Since his glorious performances on the X Factor Seann has been touring the UK on a multi-date arena tour with his fellow X Factor contestants as well as featuring on the cover of Gay Times’ December issue. Currently working on brand new material, Seann is an artist we cannot afford to take our eyes off.

If we’re gonna do it we’re gonna do it right. And we are doing it so right this Brighton Pride with Anne-Marie, the brilliant electronic-soul songstress lighting up the world with her unique take on r’n’b’ infused pop. An Essex girl set to spark our Pride celebrations just right, Anne-Marie is a staple member of drum’n’bass royalty Rudimental and has been wowing crowds at festivals across the Globe including Glastonbury, Isle of Wight and Ibiza Rocks as well as appearing on their No.1 album We The Generation. A summer festival essential, Anne-Marie has been making our sun shine since the release of Rudimental’s brilliant Rumour Mill and we can’t wait to feel her rays at Brighton Pride this August.
