Brighton & Hove Pride are delighted to have awarded 5 bursaries to performers/producers in the LGBTQ+ community or allies creating work with an LGBTQ+ narrative for Brighton Fringe 2022.

Our mission is to support high-quality, innovative, inspirational and engaging work to entertain, inform, educate and thereby enrich the cultural life of the LGBTQ+ community and the residents of Brighton & Hove.

The 5 successful artists from all the applicants will each receive £250 towards registration fees and other costs as well as support in kind such as social media support etc.

Ingenious Fools: The Undiagnosables

Showcasing some of the best up and coming disabled, LGBTQ+ and neurodiverse comics on the UK circuit!

Bert Alert: I Can’t Believe It’s Not Gender

23rd-25th May at The Caxton Arms
A chaotic and ridiculous exploration of the rituals of life and how queer people navigate, reinvent and destroy them!

Horseplay: Bareback

17th/18th May at The Walrus
Following their smash-hit Witch Hunt, Derek Mitchell & Kathy Maniura turn their character-led narrative style to another kaleidoscopic story. Bareback is about performance and sex. It’s fast. It’s honest. It’s wigs!
