Matt Taylor is an Irish singer songwriter currently based in Brighton, England. Aged 20, Matt has been writing and performing since the age of 12 and has won a number of awards along the way. After being a finalist in a number of national talent competitions in Ireland, he was shortlisted for a place at the prestigious Brit School in Croydon in 2013. However he accepted a place at BIMM Brighton and completed a Degree in Professional Musicianship (Vocals and Songwriting) in June 2018.
During the time at BIMM, Matt continued to write and perform. He undertook work for a writing agency and had work optioned by some major international artists. Along with colleague colleagues Jomo Kru and Caleb Tamplin, he recorded a number of tracks and in June 2017 he released his first single “Body”. Further single releases are planned for July 2018, October 2018 and then January 2019. Specific live shows are planned to support these, in addition to continuing to perform on an ad-hoc basis.
