The sun shone as brightly as our pride on Saturday 6th August as over 300,000 spectators and participants took part in the UK’s biggest and brightest LGBT Community Pride Parade. From the first step taken at Hove’s Peace Statue to the final at Brighton’s Preston Park, it was a truly community affair as people from across the world joined together in Uniting Nations with Brighton Pride.

Standing in solidarity with global LGBT community, the Brighton Pride Community Parade was lead by a moving tribute to the 49 victims of the Orlando massacre and was a fitting start to a day of LGBT campaigning across the city.

Charities, voluntary organisations, businesses, public services, unions, political parties, sports groups, music, performance and dance combined in the sunshine to produce a spectacular Pride parade, with its roots in our fabulous diverse community, filled with love, Pride and, yes, plenty of whistles.

Our amazing city of Brighton & Hove provided the most amazing backdrop for our celebrations once again and sparkled under Pride’s giant rainbow flag of love as people of all ages, sexualities, genders, creeds and races came together for a truly memorable event, filling the city’s streets with miles and miles of smiles.

The 2016 Brighton Pride Community Parade was a record-beating spectacular that amazed all who saw it. Because together, under the glorious August sunshine, the city and the communities we are so proud of produced a Pride Community Parade that we will never forget.
