Don’t waste your time this summer. Head Brighton Pride’s way as we welcome pioneering house diva Angie Brown to the Wild Fruit Stage as she celebrates a Summer of Love alongside our favourite diva queens Jocelyn Brown and Rozalla
There at the beginning of the house and rave scene in the UK, Angie Brown’s vocals on Bizarre Inc’s 1992 international club smash hit I’m Gonna Get You changed the game, pumping up our parties with its addictive bassline, sweeping disco strings and lyrical mantra. There was no wasting our time getting on the dancefloor whenever the DJ dropped this beauty.
Angie has continued to wow the dancefloor with her further adventures with Bizarre Inc. and their single Took My Love and has enjoyed a glittering career working alongside artists including Grace Jones, Kate Bush, Chaka Khan, The Happy Mondays, Heaven 17, The Stereophonics and Brighton’s own Fatboy Slim and releasing singles on labels including Hed Kandi, Ministry Of Sound and Stereo Sushi.
