The 25th anniversary Brighton Pride Community Parade excelled all expectations this year as the streets of Brighton & Hove filled with joyous participants for the most spectacular parade ever.

Despite a last minute security threat in the city centre, the Sussex Police and all the emergency services worked together quickly and efficiently to get the Parade on the road along a diverted route via Western Road in a riot of colour.

With an estimated 200,000 spectators and participants it truly was a remarkable citywide spectacular, filled with music, love and laughter as community groups, charities, businesses and supporters joined for a parade like no other.

Lead by our fabulous Pride Ambassadors Aneesa Chaudhry, David Raven, Danny Eade and Alice Denny riding high on their own float, the Parade weaved its way from Hove Lawns magically though the city thrilling everyone with its high octane mix of celebrations and campaigning.

From the herds of wild animal costumes of andwhatarts and costumier extraordinaire Mandinga Arts, to the numerous voluntary and professional groups, charities and organisations representing our diverse LGBT community via the Freedom To Live campaign placards and the jubilant samba bands and dancers, the Brighton Pride Community Parade ensured the city was wrapped in Pride rainbows.
